Purpose and Scope of the Service

Blocall is an application designed to protect users against unwanted, fraudulent or malicious calls, in particular through call blocking, caller identification, anonymous number lookup and voluntary reporting.

The service relies on local technical processing, user-defined rules and data stored on the user’s device.

No technical solution can guarantee the complete elimination of unwanted calls.

Access to the Service and Conditions of Use

The service is available to the general public, with no age restriction.

Use is free for personal (non-professional) purposes. A subscription or a license is required for professional use.

The user agrees to use the service in accordance with its purpose, applicable laws and regulations, and these terms.

Any abusive, diverted, automated or fraudulent use of the service is strictly prohibited.

How Reporting Works

Reporting phone numbers is optional and subject to the user voluntarily enabling the feature.

Any report results in the blocking of the relevant number on the user’s device.

The user is solely responsible for the content and accuracy of the information reported and warrants that it does not infringe the rights of third parties.

Blocall reserves the right, without obligation, to moderate, correct, limit or remove any report that is manifestly abusive, inaccurate, defamatory or unlawful.

Licenses, professional access and donations

Blocall is completely free for individual use.

Using Blocall in a professional, organizational or institutional context requires a professional license.Professional licenses are purchased via the Blocall website and allow multi-device usage, including manual deployment or deployment through a mobile device management (MDM) solution.
Users may, if they wish, make a donation to support the development of the application. Donations are optional, do not grant access to any additional features, and have no impact on access to or use of Blocall.

Payments (licenses or donations) are processed by specialized third-party payment providers. Blocall does not collect, process or store any banking or payment card information.

Professional, Institutional and Government Use

When the service is used in a professional, institutional or administrative context, or by government services, the user or organization remains solely responsible for configuring, deploying and using the service, including via mobile device fleet management tools (MDM).

In this context, Blocall assumes no obligation of service continuity, completeness of blocking, permanent availability or results.

The service does not constitute a public service, a telecommunications operator, or an emergency system.

Technical Limits and Platform Dependencies

Certain features depend on operating systems and interfaces provided by mobile OS vendors.

On iOS, blocked calls may appear without ringing in the call history.

On Android, blocked calls are silent.

Some operations require the application to remain active in the background.

Liability and Exclusions

The service is provided “as is” and subject to platform availability.

Blocall cannot be held liable in particular for:

• a malicious call that is not blocked,

• the blocking of a legitimate call,

• any consequence resulting from an incorrect report,

• indirect or non-material damages.

The user remains solely responsible for how they use the service and for verifying the legitimacy of received calls.

Suspension, Limitation and Termination

Blocall reserves the right to restrict, suspend or disable access to the service, temporarily or permanently, in the event of a breach of these terms, abusive use, or attempts to bypass security mechanisms.

Intellectual Property

All elements making up the Blocall service, including in particular the software, databases, trademarks, logos and content, are protected by intellectual property law.

Any unauthorized reproduction, extraction or use is prohibited.
